Magento packages: fixed scope for the work we repeat

Most Magento work is custom and quoted per project. But a few jobs come up often enough that we package them with a set price and timeline, so you know the cost before we start.

Magento is enterprise software, and most Magento work gets priced that way: scoped and quoted per project, because no two stores run the same extensions, the same catalog, or the same checkout. We do not pretend otherwise. But a few jobs come up so often that we have built them a dozen times over and know exactly where they bite. Those we package with a fixed scope, a fixed price, and a real timeline, so you get a number before we start rather than after.

Everything below is a repeatable build we have shipped before. If your store is close but not identical, we use the package as a starting estimate and quote the difference. We would rather do that than force your catalog into a box it does not fit.

How this works. The first call costs nothing. You tell us the store, the catalog size, the Magento version, and the deadline. We tell you which package fits, or that none does and you are better off with a quoted Magento project. Either way you leave with a figure, not an "it depends."

The packages we sell today

Migration Pack. A move onto Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce with data, theme, redirects, and a tested checkout, quoted as one fixed job. This is the one people ask for most, mostly because Magento 1 has been past end of life for years and stores still running it are one exploit away from a bad week. See the Migration Pack, or read the longer Magento 1 to 2 migration guide if you want the detail first.

Store Launch. A configured Magento store ready to take orders: theme set up, products loaded, payments and shipping wired, tax and currency correct for your market. Good when you know Magento is the platform and you want it standing up without a three-month build. See the Store Launch package.

B2B Pack. Adobe Commerce B2B configured properly: company accounts, shared catalogs, negotiable quotes, and purchase-order checkout. B2B is the one thing Magento does better than almost anything else, and it is fiddly to set up right, which is exactly why we packaged it. This one is in build and opens shortly. Until then, our Magento for B2B page covers the scope.

When a package is the wrong call

Packages work when the job is known. They stop working the moment your store needs something the package never covered: a custom ERP sync, a warehouse integration, a checkout no one else runs. When that happens we say so on the first call and quote the real project instead. A fixed price on an unknown job is just a bad guess with confidence, and you end up paying for the padding. If you are weighing whether Magento is even worth the running cost, our is Magento worth it in 2026 piece is the honest version.

FAQ

What is the difference between a Magento package and a quoted project?

A package has a fixed scope and price because we have built it before and know the traps. A quoted project is priced per store because it has parts we have not seen yet. If your store needs something a package does not cover, we start from the package price and quote the extra, so the number stays honest.

How much does a Magento store cost to set up?

Our Store Launch package starts around $2,900 for a configured Magento 2 store: theme, up to 100 products loaded, payments, shipping, and tax set for your market. Bigger catalogs, custom themes, and integrations move the price, and we quote those before we begin. For a fuller breakdown, see our guide on how much Magento costs.

Do you still take Magento 1 stores?

Yes, but not to keep them on Magento 1. That version has been past end of life since 2020 and no longer gets security patches. Our Migration Pack moves you to Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce with every 301 redirect in place so you keep your rankings. Staying on Magento 1 is the one thing we will actively talk you out of.

Is Adobe Commerce the same as Magento?

Adobe Commerce is the paid, Adobe-hosted edition; Magento Open Source is the free, self-hosted one. Same core, different license and support. Most of our packages run on either. If you are not sure which you need, our Adobe Commerce vs Magento Open Source comparison lays out the split.

Can you package B2B features?

That is the B2B Pack. Company accounts, shared catalogs with customer-specific pricing, negotiable quotes, and purchase-order checkout, all configured on Adobe Commerce B2B. It is the part of Magento worth paying for, and it takes real setup, so packaging it saves you from paying by the hour to discover the same gotchas we already know.

What if my project does not fit any package?

Then we quote it as a normal Magento project and skip the package entirely. Packages exist for the jobs that repeat. Everything else is scoped on its own so you are not paying for scope you do not use. You still get a fixed figure on the first call.
